Ever feel like you’re putting in all the effort networking, but not seeing results fast enough?
That’s normal.
Networking isn’t a quick win.
It’s a game of momentum.
And today, I want to introduce you to The Networking Snowball Effect.
Because too many people stop (or quit) networking before the magic happens.
Think about rolling a small snowball down a hill.
At first, it barely moves. It takes effort. It’s slow.
But as it rolls, it starts to gather more snow. It picks up speed.
Before you know it, that tiny snowball has become an unstoppable force.
Networking works the same way.
Most people struggle because they expect one event, one introduction, or one conversation to change everything.
The truth? The first phase of networking is like pushing that tiny snowball.
Slow. Tedious. Frustrating.
But then think of each conversation and interaction as building it up.
You keep showing up, keep adding value, and suddenly:
The real results in networking come from compound interest.
Each conversation, each follow-up, and each small act of connection builds towards something bigger.
Here’s how you accelerate The Networking Snowball Effect:
1️⃣ Commit – Keep showing up regularly. Remember you're trying to become the first person people think of when they think of what you do.
2️⃣ Give value first – Send an article, make an introduction, offer help—without expecting anything in return.
3️⃣ Follow up authentically – Don’t just collect connections, nurture them. Implement the 12-4-1 Follow Up Framework weekly exercise to hold yourself accountable.
4️⃣ Tap into existing connections – It might not be from your immediate network, but your next big opportunity is likely one or two degrees away from someone you already know.
Most people quit networking right before the breakthrough.
They get discouraged when the first few events don’t lead to immediate sales or partnerships.
But if they kept pushing that snowball, they’d see the magic unfold.
So today, ask yourself:
Are you willing to push through the slow phase and build your own Networking Snowball Effect?
Because the networkers who do are the ones that get regular and repeatable results.
Happy networking!
